EMT Training in Idaho

A reputable course can get your EMS career started on the right foot. First, you need to take and pass the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers course (also known as CPR for Health Care Providers).

Then you need to find the EMT course that is right for you. The course must be based on the current National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's National Standard Curricula if you intend to become a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (NREMT-B). To become certified in Idaho, you must have your NREMT and be affiliated with an EMS provider as a volunteer or employee.

Also consider location, schedule, cost and—more importantly—qualifications of the instructor(s). You may even want to ask for references. How prepared for passing the NREMT-B certification process were previous students?
